Zdeněk Vacek

Zdeněk Vacek

Perfect mastery of the craft and a playful, spontaneous approach to creation. Zdeněk Vacek transforms hard, cold metal into soft, organic forms. With sensitive combinations of materials, he evokes the fascinating fragility and energetic liveliness of nature. Trained as a goldsmith and jeweller in Prague, he has been making luxury antique jewellery for several years while developing his own work. His first independent jewellery collection was presented at Designblok in 2005 and won him the Talent of the Year award. The successful premiere at the prestigious Czech event also marked the beginning of a close collaboration with his long-time partner, designer Daniel Pošta.
