Magdaléna Roztočilová (b. 1989, Boskovice) lives in Prague and co-founded Studio PRÁM. She studied painting and sculpture in Jaroslav Róna’s studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, with placements under Krištof Kintera at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and Florian Reither of Gelitin. Moving between figuration and abstraction, her practice shows a strong sensitivity to matter, colour, space and corporeality. Her sculptures present the body as a mutable, open and sensuously intense form, both strange and intimately familiar. She creates autonomous work, installations and public-space commissions, including Delichorn in Selb, Germany; the Memorial to the Victims of Communism in Boskovice; and a bust of Milada Horáková for the Pilsen Region. Recent exhibitions include Bodily Mind at Sofia Arsenal – Museum of Contemporary Art, part of the National Gallery in Sofia (2023); History Should Be Told as a Story at Galerie Pekelné sáně, Kroměříž (2024); Beauty and the Beast at White & Weiss Gallery, Bratislava (2025); +− with Jakub Roztočil at Abtsmolen Studio, Prague (2025); and Trafo Art Salon 2025 at Trafo Gallery, Prague. In spring 2026, Studio PRÁM presented her solo exhibition Where the Body Does Not Fit, curated by Iva Mladičová; that summer, she joined the group exhibition Soft Power at Umrian Gallery, Bratislava.
